Candles are one of those luxury-necessity things that are extravagant yet totally, completely necessary all at the same time. When I'm all grown up I'm going to have a table in my apartment just full of them - A.P.C, diptyque, Byredo, Maison Balzac - and sometimes, just for the thrill, I'll light them all at once and watch the flames flicker, their fiery persistence and burnished amber hue the truest of all companions.

It's strange. I was just thinking the same thing while contemplating a diptyque candle. So extravagant, yes. But sort of warms the soul.

Hi Hannah,
I came by this post you made, and after spending this early morning browsing Vogue.fr, I just discovered that A.P.C. had produced a special line alternative to their candle range in Eau D'Interieur. I can't believe this was made but for Japan only. Will be purchasing it from their Japanese store.
